La Fabrica &Co rents out five event spaces in Poblenou, at Carrer Doctor Trueta 191, inside Barcelona’s 22@ district: Txoko Room (from €120), Community Room (from €200), Coworking Flex Space (from €330), Courtyard (from €435) and Rooftop Terrace 6th (from €620). Capacity runs from 14 people seated to 80 standing. The full catalogue is on the event spaces page.
Where do you rent an event space in Barcelona’s 22@?
There is plenty of supply in the 22@. The district covers some 200 hectares of former industrial land in Sant Martí that Barcelona City Council began transforming in 2000, and today it brings together more than 1,500 companies in media, IT, energy, design and research.
The supply falls into four groups:
- Refurbished industrial warehouses for productions, showrooms and large brand events. High ceilings, square metres and not much else included.
- Hotel function rooms along the seafront and in Diagonal Mar, with in-house catering and a conference format.
- Coworking spaces and hubs that rent out a meeting room or auditorium to non-members.
- Hybrid coliving and coworking buildings, such as La Fabrica &Co, where the gathering happens inside a lived-in building with a community of its own.
The practical difference between the groups is not price: it is who sets up, who cleans and who is there when something fails at nine in the evening.
That the city pulls this kind of demand is not a hunch. Meetings tourism in Spain closed 2024 with €14.3 billion and 10.5 million visitors, according to the FEMP, and Barcelona stands at the forefront of the MICE sector in Spain as the main destination for corporate meetings and events, according to Hosteltur.
The office market backs it up too: according to idealista/news, the 22@ accounted for 32% of all office take-up in Barcelona in 2024. That is where your audience is.
Which is the best event space in Poblenou for your format?
“Best” does not exist in the abstract. For 30 people at a standing dinner, an 800 m² warehouse is a bad idea: it sounds empty and forces you to rent furniture. For a trade fair with a truck load-in, a rooftop terrace is a worse idea still.
The criteria that actually change the decision:
- Format: seated, standing, mixed, with a screen or without one.
- Time of day: the Txoko Room opens from 17:00 to 23:00; the other spaces from 9:00 to 22:00, and the Coworking Flex Space until 23:00.
- Food: in the Txoko Room, Courtyard and Coworking Flex Space the client can bring food in; the Txoko Room has a full kitchen.
- Noise and type of event: parties are not allowed in any of the five spaces. This is a lived-in building.
- What is included: WiFi everywhere, air conditioning and a screen in the indoor rooms, furniture in all of them.
- What happens afterwards: if you want people to stay and talk, it helps to have a bar and a terrace two floors away.
La Fabrica &Co opened in September 2024 and runs as a coliving and coworking building with community life. That defines well who it fits: groups of up to 80 people, working formats and community gatherings. If you are organising a gala for 300 diners or a concert, look for a warehouse: not here.
The five event spaces at La Fabrica &Co, one by one
Txoko Room: eating together as an excuse to talk
The Txoko Room is 30 m² with a fully equipped kitchen, a large-format television and dimmable lighting. From €120, available from 17:00 to 23:00, with capacity for 16 people standing and 14 seated. Exclusive use.
It is the most socially charged space of the five. Cooking as a group breaks the ice better than any exercise with sticky notes. It is also the smallest: team dinners, client lunches, startup meetings and small-group workshops. It has its own listing on Venuu for event enquiries.
Community Room: the private working room
The Community Room is the building’s private multipurpose room: from €200, 9:00 to 22:00, 40 people standing and 30 seated. High-definition screen, adjustable lighting, WiFi, air conditioning, sound system and microphone, whiteboard or flipchart and coffee break service.
Its added value is exclusive access to a furnished indoor terrace: the break happens without going down a floor. Advisory sessions, interviews, training, committees and half-day presentations.
Coworking Flex Space: the large room with a private terrace
The Coworking Flex Space is the largest of the enclosed corporate spaces: from €330, 9:00 to 23:00, 80 standing and 60 seated. Glazed, soundproofed walls, configurable layout (theatre, work tables, group exercises), an 85-inch screen with wireless connectivity, sound system, microphone and videoconferencing equipment.
It has direct access to a private terrace, which is where the coffee breaks end up. The client can bring food and alcohol. It is the option for intensive training, conferences and product presentations that do not fit in the Community Room.
Courtyard: the open-air patio
The Courtyard is the coworking space’s private terrace, an open outdoor area: from €435, 9:00 to 22:00, 80 people standing and 30 seated. WiFi and furniture included, toilets on the same floor, exclusive use, and you can bring food and alcohol.
With no walls, people circulate on their own. Brainstorms, long coffee breaks, cocktail receptions, brand presentations and community gatherings. Like any outdoor space, it depends on the weather: for February at eight in the evening, have a plan B inside the building.
Rooftop Terrace 6th: views over the skyline and the sea
The Rooftop Terrace 6th sits at the top of the building: from €620, 9:00 to 22:00, 80 standing and 50 seated, with WiFi, furniture, coffee break service and toilets on the same floor. Panoramic views over the Barcelona skyline and the sea. It is listed on Venuu as Rooftop Terrace 6th.
This is the space for a professional afterwork, corporate cocktail, reception and closing toast. Same warning as the Courtyard about the weather, and one more: parties are not allowed here either.
What surrounds the five rooms
Events do not only happen inside the room you booked. The building adds more than 2,000 m² of common areas, a lobby bar, a pool, a solarium, a gym, parking (which may carry an additional cost), 24-hour security and 24-hour on-site assistance. There is also a podcast recording studio: if you have the speaker in the building, recording an interview costs one hour of the schedule.
Decision table: price, capacity and opening hours
| Space | From | Standing / Seated | Hours | What sets it apart | What you would have to bring |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Txoko Room | €120 | 16 / 14 | 17:00–23:00 | Equipped kitchen, 30 m², dimmable lighting | Shopping, menu or a cook |
| Community Room | €200 | 40 / 30 | 9:00–22:00 | Its own indoor terrace, sound and mic, flipchart | Your own materials |
| Coworking Flex Space | €330 | 80 / 60 | 9:00–23:00 | Soundproofed, 85″ screen, videoconferencing, private terrace | Catering if needed |
| Courtyard | €435 | 80 / 30 | 9:00–22:00 | Open air, food and alcohol allowed | Catering and a plan B if it rains |
| Rooftop Terrace 6th | €620 | 80 / 50 | 9:00–22:00 | Sea and skyline views, coffee break | Catering and a plan B if it rains |
Which combination of spaces does your event need?
Good events almost never use a single room. Three routes that work:
A one-day corporate workshop. Coworking Flex Space in the morning (60 seated and an 85″ screen), a break on its private terrace, dinner in the Txoko Room from five o’clock. You work with focus and close the day sitting around the table.
A networking gathering. Courtyard or Rooftop Terrace 6th, 80 people standing, and the Community Room in case two people need ten minutes of a serious conversation. No chairs in rows.
A product launch with content. A morning recording in the podcast studio, the presentation in the Coworking Flex Space and drinks upstairs on the Rooftop Terrace. You leave with the event done and with material for weeks.
What the building cannot do: trade fairs with stands, concerts, banquets for several hundred people and set-ups requiring truck access. For that, the warehouses of the 22@.
Why Poblenou and not the city centre?
Because your attendees probably already work there. The 22@ plan transformed some 200 hectares of industrial land in Sant Martí into a business area from 2000 onwards, and that concentration of tech and creative companies means a professional gathering in Poblenou brings together people who do not have to cross the city.
The area keeps growing northwards: according to The New Barcelona Post, the north of the 22@ accounts for more than 60% of Barcelona’s new office supply. Translated into a B2B event: every year there are more companies a ten-minute walk from the door.
Add the rest of the neighbourhood: wide blocks, the beach a few minutes away, recycled industrial architecture and less tourism than in Ciutat Vella. A company dinner in Poblenou feels more like the Barcelona people work in than the one on the postcards.
Before you take the space for granted: what to ask
The “from” prices for each room are the starting point, not the closed budget. Write in from the contact page with the date, the number of people, the format and whether you need food or only drinks.
Three questions worth asking every time, here and at any other space in the city:
- Until what time can there be music, and in which spaces?
- Is catering in-house, external or open? (In the Txoko Room, Courtyard and Coworking Flex Space the client can bring food and drink.)
- Who sets up, who takes down and who cleans?
The answers to those three tell you more about the real cost than any hourly rate.
One note if your speakers are coming from out of town: the same building is a coliving, with accommodation from around €1,825 a month, and it offers coworking with a day pass from €29, a flex plan from €139/month and fixed from €287/month. For short stays, you have to ask.
Frequently Asked Questions

Networking: Courtyard or Rooftop Terrace 6th, both with 80 people standing and an open atmosphere. Quick rule: seated, indoor room; standing, terrace.
Can you hold parties or concerts at La Fabrica &Co?
No. The pages for all five spaces state explicitly that parties are not allowed. The building is designed for corporate and community events: workshops, training, presentations, networking, cocktail receptions and afterworks. Concerts, trade fairs with stands, banquets for hundreds of people and truck load-ins fit better in the industrial warehouses of the 22@.
Can speakers stay in the same building?
La Fabrica &Co is also a coliving, with studios from around €1,825 a month up to €2,900, depending on the type. The accommodation includes weekly cleaning, bed linen and towels, smart locks and a safe. For short stays or specific conditions for a speaker, it is best to ask through the contact page.
Why is the 22@ a good area for a professional event?
Because of where the audience is concentrated. According to Barcelona City Council, the former industrial land of Poblenou is now home to more than 1,500 companies in media, IT, energy, design and research. And according to idealista/news, the district accounted for 32% of all office take-up in Barcelona in 2024.
Is there parking and transport for attendees from outside Barcelona?
The building has parking, although it may carry an additional cost, plus WiFi in every space, meeting rooms and a reception with 24-hour on-site assistance. For spaces available on a specific date, prices and access, the practical thing is to confirm it when you write your booking enquiry.
Which district of Barcelona are the event spaces in?
In the district of Sant Martí, in the El Poblenou neighbourhood, inside the 22@. The five rooms are at Doctor Trueta 191, 08005 Barcelona, a few minutes from Bogatell beach and well connected to the rest of the city.
